On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking aft and to starboard from 33½ station on the starboard side showing the an ARL table with a temporary wooden box on top. The raised captain's chair is in the foreground and beyond it are sonar recorders. An amplifier unit is against the aft bulkhead.
