The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking to starboard from the centreline at 32 station showing a plotting table on the right and another one at an angle beyond it. Telephones, fuse panels, a relay box and a stateboard are against the forward bulkhead and a wandering lead is hanging over the stateboard. A temporary wooden table top is leaning on the equipment against the forward bulkhead. The door to the forward lobby is on the left.
