On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is on the flight deck between 57 and 66½ stations on 1 deck looking to starboard and slightly forward from 60 station showing the starboard ammunition derrick rigged. The watertight door to the torpedo maintenance compartment is open and being painted. Ropes and pneumatic hoses are spread across the deck. A scaffolding pontoon is alongside the starboard side. The ship is berthed port side to the wall.
