On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the junior rates' mess between 57 and 62½ stations on 3 deck looking aft from 59 station on the port side showing two triple tier settee bunk units on the left. An air conditioning unit, an electric fire, a bookshelf, a hinged table with glasses on it and an Electrolux refrigerator are against the aft bulkhead. A two tier settee bunk and kit lockers are against the ship's side. A table and two waste bins are in the centre of the deck.
