On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the junior rates' mess between 57 and 62½ stations on 3 deck looking aft and slightly to port from 58½ station on the starboard side showing two double tier settee bunk units on the left. A two tier settee bunk unit, a triple tier settee bunk unit, kit lockers and an automatic emergency lantern are on the right. Kit lockers are against the aft bulkhead and a table and chairs are on deck between the two rows of bunk units.
