On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is standing on top of the starboard side of the bridge at about 31 station looking forward showing the Twin 4.5 inch Mark 6 gun turret and the forecastle deck. The ship is berthed starboard side to the wall. An unidentified Blackwood class Type 14 utility frigate is berth ahead undergoing a refit. The Admiralty floating dock AFD 22 (1942) is in the left background.
