On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is standing on the starboard side of 2 deck at about 72 station looking aft and slightly to port showing the quarterdeck. A 4.5 inch ready use flare locker is in the foreground and all of the cable reels and winches have canvas covers. The ship is berthed starboard side to the wall.
