On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the transmitting station annexe between 28¼ and 31 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking into the port aft corner showing the door to the annexe on the right with two fire extinguishers, an automatic emergency lantern and a telephone next to it. A small work bench equipped with a vice, an electric fire and two transformers are against the port bulkhead. In the left foreground is the end of the maintenance console and against the aft bulkhead is the end of the power distribution board MRS3 Mod 3.
