On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the preparing space between 41 and 46¼ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking to starboard from 45 station showing a workbench with cereal bins and drawers under and a large cool store against the aft bulkhead. The cool store control panel, two switch boxes, two taps and some cooking utensils are against the starboard side of the ship. A chest refrigerator, a sink unit and an ice cream machine are on the left. Some cooking pans, a drum of an unknown solution and a milk churn are on the deck.
