On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the transmitting station between 26 and 28¼ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard showing the main gunnery director, range, bearing and firing control panel (Admiralty fire control board) against the side of the ship on the right with an electric fire and a voltage measuring unit next to it. Against the forward bulkhead is part of the MRS 3, Mod 3 gunnery control system with the seat for the bearing operator in the foreground. Next to it are two banks of servo units.
