On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the transmitting station between 26 and 28¼ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to port showing the MRS 3, Mod 3 gunnery control system with the seats for the radar range taker and the bearing operator against the forward bulkhead. The door to the station is in the centre and an automatic emergency lantern, armament communications microphone circuit boxes and various MRS 3 director units are against the port bulkhead.
