On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 30 and 43 stations on 2 deck looking forward from 43 station showing the open watertight doors at 41½ and 30¾ stations. The door to the officers' galley is on the port side with an emergency cable stowage next to it. On the starboard side are emergency cable stowage, a fire hose basket, an automatic emergency lantern, fuse panels and an emergency changeover switch box.
