On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 18 and 21½ stations on 2 deck looking forward from 21½ station showing the 4.5 inch gunbay on the right. The sliding door and serving hatch to the canteen is on the left. In the centre is the door to the senior rates' mess.
