On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Londonderry (1958) alongside the west wall in the basin at Rosyth Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 7 July 1967 and completed 28 January 1970. The photographer is in the main passageway, known as the Burma Road, between 25 and 27 stations on 2 deck looking to starboard and forward into the lobby from 27 station showing the door to the transmitting station. Stairs up to 1 deck are in the left foreground with spare armoured hoses stowed at high level against the 4.5 inch gunbay beyond them. Damage control cupboard No. 2 is against the starboard side of the ship.
