The photographer is in the junior rates' mess between 23 and 27 stations on 3 deck looking to starboard and slightly forward from 26 station near the centreline showing kit lockers, boot lockers and a television against the aft bulkhead. Two double settee/bunk units, two kit lockers, a large locker, a bookshelf and a small locker are against the ship's side. An electric fire is against the 4.5 inch cartridge hoist in the left foreground.
