On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the double berth cabin 3/16 between 39 and 41 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking forward from 40½ station showing a wardrobe and cushioned seat against the ship's side. A folding wash hand basin, a small shelf and a toiletries cabinet are against the forward bulkhead. A double berth is on the right with a secretaire and drawers under it. A polythene sheet is laid on the deck. A vertical format negative.
