The photographer is in the junior rates' mess between 68 and 75 stations on 3 deck looking to port from near the centreline at 68½ station showing a Thermotank air conditioning unit in the right foreground with five kit lockers and two boot lockers beyond it. Four kit lockers are on the left with a noticeboard fixed to the side of them. A cleaning gear locker is against the ship's side. A vertical format negative.
