On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the GWS 20 Seacat missile magazine between 49 and 54 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 50 station showing three rows of missile supports. A power unit is against the starboard bulkhead next to the missile hoist on the extreme left and the door to the magazine is next to the hoist. A fire extinguisher is above a unit which has four horizontal missile holding supports mounted against it. The missile magazine contents board is near the starboard aft corner. Positions for A/S 12 missile motor stowage plates and uprights are against the aft bulkhead. A water sprinkler system is on the deck and under the deckhead.
