On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the galley between 41 and 44 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to starboard from 42 station showing a deep fryer and an electric range against the aft bulkhead. A shelf unit is on the deck against the ship's side and various cooking pans and frying baskets are on it. The deep fryer fuse panel is between the scuttles against the ship's side.
