On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the lobby between 35½ and 39¾ stations on 1 deck looking to starboard from 38½ station showing emergency cable stowage, a junction box and fuse panels against the forward bulkhead. A transformer is against the aft bulkhead and on the starboard side is a gastight door forming a lobby outside the door to the starboard weather deck. A vertical format negative.
