On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the lobby between 31 and 34½ stations on 3 deck looking aft and to port from 33 station on the centreline showing cable stowage and a connection box against the aft bulkhead. The door to the pay and correspondence office, a pay window, a fuse box and an emergency connection box are facing the camera and a transformer is on the right. Three advice notices and a poster advertizing the RN and RM Dependants' Fund are fixed to the door.
