On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the 4.5 inch magazine between 23 and 27 stations on 4 deck looking forward and to starboard from the centreline at 25½ station showing shelves for general storage on the left and the 4.5 inch cartridge hoist on the right. The magazine contents list is against the side of the hoist. Against the forward bulkhead are bottle racks for 4.5 inch cartridges and a rack for the stowage of rocket tails. A vertical format negative.
