On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the provision issue room between 45½ and 47 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to starboard showing a desk, cereal bins and a ledger rack against the aft bulkhead. A refrigerator and shelves are against the forward bulkhead. A key cabinet is against the starboard bulkhead. On the deck is a cardboard box labelled 'Produce of Cyprus' and two baskets of Broadlands mushrooms.
