On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the torpedo maintenance room between 54¼ and 57 stations on the starboard side of 1 deck looking forward and to starboard from 56 station showing a wooden work bench with a combination safe, two shelves, a contents board and a state board above it. A telephone and stowage for a ramp plate, a wheel spanner and an hose are against the port bulkhead. Next to the torpedo stowage compartment door are stowages for an hose and a loading trolley lifting bar. A first aid cabinet is against the forward bulkhead.
