On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the regulating office between 54½ and 56 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking to starboard showing two desks, the nearest with an Olivetti 82 typewriter on it, a telephone, a notice board, a combination safe, a pigeon hole unit, a hand torch and an automatic emergency lantern on the right. A double settee/bunk berth, a book shelf and a wardrobe are against the forward bulkhead. On the settee berth are some files including one headed 'Report of Offender'.
