On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the weapons workshop between 16 and 19 stations on the starboard side of 3 deck looking forward showing a work bench with drawers and cupboards and fitted with a Record 83 vice. A Thermotank air conditioning unit is above the bench. A distribution box, a roster board, two job card boxes and an electric fire are against the forward bulkhead. Nests of drawers and high level shelves are against the port bulkhead. Three tool boxes are on the deck.
