On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in No. 2 naval store between 12½ and 15½ stations on 4 deck looking to starboard from the port side at 15½ station showing two rows of storage racks. Against the ship's side are awning stanchions, boat hooks and two raft paddles. A vertical format negative.
