On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the pump metadyne compartment and torpedo anti-submarine store between 15½ and 19 stations on the starboard side of 4 deck looking forward showing shelving racks on both sides of the store. A 10 ton vertical centrifugal pump is against the forward bulkhead and firkins of Watney's Red Barrel beer are on the deck. A vertical format negative.
