On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the administration and marine engineer's regulating office between 24¼ and 26 stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking forward and to starboard showing a small desk with two cupboards under it. A duty roster card panel is against the forward wire screen bulkhead, clips of papers are against the port screen and a ledger rack is against the ship's side. A rating's cap is on top of the ledger rack. A vertical format negative.
