On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main (No. 1) naval store between 8 and 13 stations on 3 deck looking forward from the centreline at 11½ station showing a wooden crate, one-gallon cans and some rags in the centre of the store. Fitted to the back of rack F are a number of new pressure gauges. In the middle ground are racks containing a nest of drawers with open shelves above and racks of wire mesh fronted shelves, again with open shelves above. Against the forward bulkhead is a rack containing a nest of drawers with wire mesh fronted shelves above. A vertical format negative.
