On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the engine room between 49 and 57 stations on 4 deck looking to port from the port side at 53 station showing the port side Agouti air compressor for the propeller noise reduction system. Fixed to the ship's side are an engine telegraphs junction box and the Agouti air compressor starter panel. A vertical format negative.
