The photographer is in the senior rates' mess between 56½ and 61½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to port from 57 station showing the door to the mess. Hanging on the back of the mess door are the jackets of a P.O. mechanician and a P.O. with a good conduct chevron. An electric fire, a distribution box, a letter rack and a broom are on the left. A vertical format negative.
