On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the senior rates' mess between 16 and 21½ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft from 17 station on the starboard side showing a triple tier on the right and a double tier bunk unit against the starboard side. A Thermotank air conditioning unit and an electric fire are against the 19 station bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
