On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the MRS 3 director support maintenance cabinet between 36 and 37 stations on the centreline of 01 deck looking forward showing a locker labelled "Director aim camera stowage" by the side of a nest of drawers. On top of the drawers are a transmitter-receiver unit, a power unit transmitter and a power unit receiver. A co-axial socket box, a modulator receiver and a switch unit are on the right.
