On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the Hull Outfit 20 (Type 177 sonar) directing gear compartment between 15½ and 19 stations on 4 deck looking forward and to starboard from 16½ station showing three panels covering the spare dome cover against the starboard bulkhead. The sonar head turning motor is on the extreme left. A vertical format negative.
