On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the sonar instrument compartment between 12½ and 16 stations on 3 deck looking forward and to starboard from 13 station showing a telephones junction box, a tuning unit box, a type 162 sonar unit control box and a sonar type 162 junction box against the forward bulkhead. An Invicta Radio Ltd receiver amplifier manufactured in 1953 is against the starboard side. A vertical format negative.
