On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the sickbay between 59 and 61½ stations on 2 deck looking forward and to port from 61 station showing the operating table against the forward bulkhead. A refrigerator, two high level cupboards and a cupboard and drawer unit with a stainless steel top are against the port bulkhead. The entrance door to the sickbay is on the left.
