On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the sickbay between 59 and 61½ stations on 2 deck looking aft and to port from 59 station showing a refrigerator, an high level cupboard, the entrance door to the sickbay, a clock reading 3.08 and an automatic emergency lantern on the port side. Against the aft bulkhead are the surgeon's desk, a telephone, a shelf with cupboards above, two medicine cupboards and linen cupboards.
