On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the lobby between 14¾ and 19 stations on 3 deck looking aft from 16 station showing the door to the combined technical library and planned maintenance office on the right. A padlocked watertight hatch is at the aft end of the lobby against the junior rates' mess bulkhead. A fire extinguisher and a fire hose rack are also by the aft bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
