On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the combined technical library and planned maintenance office between 16½ and 19 stations on the port side of 3 deck looking forward from 17 station showing desks and job card racks against the ship's side. An electric fire, a telephone and a cupboard/ledger shelf are against the aft bulkhead. Another job card rack and a double door cupboard are against the starboard bulkhead.
