On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 23 and 30⅔ stations on 2 deck looking forward and to starboard from 26 station showing fuse panels, an emergency changeover and switch distribution box, a power unit and a transformer against the gun bay on the left. The wire mesh fronted administration and marine engineer's regulating office and a first aid post are against the starboard side. Fire party and repair lockers are against the bulkhead of the transmitting station. A vertical format negative.
