The Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959). In the main passageway between 63 and 66 stations on 2 deck.
On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the main passageway (known as the Burma Road) between 63 and 66 stations on 2 deck looking aft from 63 station showing the closed watertight door at 66 station with an automatic emergency lantern next to it. The watertight door to the junior rates' W.Cs is on the right but, strangely, there is a full set of clips on the bulkhead although the door is inset and opens inwards. A glass fronted notice board cabinet is on the left. A vertical format negative.
