On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the electronic maintenance room between 39 and 42 stations on the centreline of 1 deck looking to starboard and aft from the centreline at 40 station showing a large desk with drawers under it. Filing trays are on the aft end of the desk and a row of switches and a rack of job cards are against the starboard bulkhead. A test leads unit and two fuse boxes are against the aft bulkhead.
