On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the operations room between 31¼ and 35½ stations on 1 deck looking forward and to port from the port side at 33 station showing the gun direction officer's section. The main control console is in the centre. The T.I.U. Mark 5 marker generator cabinet assembly and another T.I.U. mark 5 unit cabinet are against the port side. Four junction boxes are against the forward bulkhead. The A.A. co-operation plot and tote board is suspended from the deckhead.
