On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the combined radar office between 36½ and 41 stations on the port side of 2 deck looking forward and slightly to starboard from 39 station showing a bench with cupboards under against the starboard bulkhead and a bookshelf is above it against the port bulkhead. Also against the port bulkhead are an intercom switch panel, a radar data distribution and circuits junction box, a G.P. outstation unit, two interphone circuits boxes and a telephone.
