On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the transmitting station between 26 and 28¼ stations on the starboard side of 2 deck looking aft and to port from 27 station showing the communications position with telephones and a control unit against the port bulkhead. A fall of shot rattler, a check fire bell, three armament control loudspeakers, an automatic emergency lantern, two lighting dimmer switches and three multi-pin connecting cables are against the aft bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
