On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the wheelhouse between 27½ and 29 stations on 1 deck looking to starboard. The revolution order transmitter is in the foreground. The navigation switch fuse board, overtaking light dimmer, two navigation lights fuseways, a navigation circuits distribution box, the revolution order reply gong, a steaming motor alarm bell and two conning intercom speakers are against the starboard bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
