On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is at 33 station to starboard of the centreline on 01 deck looking aft and to port showing the base of the MRS 3 director support between 34½ and 37½ stations. The ship is berthed starboard side to the wall. Buildings on the north side of the basin are in the background. A vertical format negative.
