On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is on the port side of 01 deck looking forward from 37 station showing the 3 inch Mk 4 Knebworth-Corvus rocket launcher at 35 station. The launcher has a 2 inch rocker flare launcher above it but the whole mounting has a tarpaulin cover over it. The stern of the Norwegian frigate Narvik (1965), pendant number F304, can be seen berthed ahead of the Berwick (1959). In the background against the east wall of the basin is the Royal Fleet Auxiliary store carrier Robert Middleton (1938), pendant number A241. A vertical format negative.
