On board the Type 12 frigate HMS Berwick (1959) alongside the south wall in No.3 basin at Chatham Dockyard, near the end of her modernization which commenced 4 December 1967 and completed 4 June 1971. The photographer is in the sonar instrument compartment between 12½ and 16 stations on 3 deck looking aft and to starboard from 15½ station showing asdic cabinet No. 7 against the side of the ship. An asdic type 170B junction box, a sonar cabinet cooling system plan with operating instructions and an electronic first aid cabinet are against the aft bulkhead. A vertical format negative.
